I ordered this for a Farmers' Market I am participating in, my tent worked great to block the sun, until about 3pm or so and then it would get so hot - the sunshade works great. The only negative I can think of is that it makes the tent more likely to move in the wind - I needed some heavier weights to hold it in place. But I don't think there's any way around that - putting a side on the tent is like adding a sail.
