Our little munchkin would wake himself up constantly due to his startle (moro) reflex. We tried swaddling him with receiving blankets we had received as baby shower gifts, but he would break free from them since they were too small. Then we tried the velcro swaddlers, but in the middle of the night we would hear the velcro getting undone and notice he broke free from that too! We were about to give up hope and were feeling helpless and sleep deprived when we came up upon the aden + anais swaddle wraps. Now these wraps are square and are 47 inches allowing for a nice, tight swaddle. He looks like a caterpillar all wrapped up in it. If you don't know how to swaddle, go on youtube, there are many instructional videos on how to do so. Babies love to be swaddled since it reminds them of when they were in mom's belly. The material is cotton muslin and is very light so it won't overheat your baby. Ever since we swaddled our baby with it, he has slept longer and eventually so have we! The jungle jam theme was perfect since our little one has a monkey theme for the nursery.
